The speaker will discuss current VPN technologies, IPSec, SSL, and MPLS VPNs. Both user to site and site to site applications will be discussed. The focus will be on the benefits and drawbacks of each. There will be some discussion of the underlying technology but cryptoraphy will not be discussed nor will it go into the protocols of IPSec and SSL. MPLS VPN technology will be discussed at some length.
Fred P. Baker, CCIE #3555, MCSE+I, MCSE(2K), CCIP(security), CCSA has been working in the network field for some 23 years beginning with pre SNA IBM mainframes. He has been working with IP with cisco equipment for some 12 years (started with IOS 8 and cisco was spelled with a small c). He worked for Ameritech for 23 years and currently works for a large midwestern insurance as an internal consultant. He holds certifications in Cisco routing, Cisco security, Windows, and Checkpoint.

At the traffic light, turn left onto Naperville Road and continue north for 1\275 miles to Rt. 56/Butterfield Road.
