With all of the uncertainty around TrueCrypt, Erik will go over using LUKS to encrypt volumes as a replacement. There will be a demo which will be all on the command line, and he'll copy his shell history to a Github Gist for sharing and later reference. LUKS has put itself out there as the standard for Linux hard disk encryption.
Erik Johnson is a core developer for the SaltStack project (http://saltstack.com), and has been employed with SaltStack, Inc. since June 2013. Before this, he worked for several years as a Linux and Solaris system administrator.
