Regular expressions are powerful puzzle games we get to play at work! No Perl necessary - POSIX is enough! In this talk, I'll review the rules of regex, with an emphasis on composition strategies. I'll highlight the common and unique powers of grep, sed, and awk. I'll demonstrate real world examples of how regex can be both productive and fun!
As usual we will be having a "Meeting After the Meeting" for talk, food, and drinks, and we are planning it to happen at the Rock Bottom restaurant in the Bolingbrook Promenade mall. The link goes to the restaurant's Bolingbrook website, but if you want a direct link to a map for directions starting at the library use this link.
