Managing your resume can be a lot of work. For example:
Brian Katzung presents tools he developed to help manage these types of issues while only having to maintain a single XML-like resume master file (similar to an HTML web page).
Brian Katzung is President and co-founder of Kappa Computer Solutions, LLC. He has been providing UNIX-based consulting services and custom software ever since loading mini-UNIX on a Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-11/34 mini-computer over 25 years ago.
He is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and received a BS degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley in 1985.
He began programming in Perl in 1992 and has used it for everything from quick one-liners to large, enterprise-critical data interchange and infrastructure monitoring applications.
He also hates to maintain multiple versions of related documents if he can program a computer to do it for him.
