The Why's and What's of 1 through N-Tier Application Architectures

Scott Nemec
Computer Sciences Corp

Tuesday September 26th at 7:00pm
College of DuPage - K161

Abstract

Over the last 5 decades computer applications have followed similar patterns in how they have been architected and how they use resources. From the single task computing machines of the 50's to the distributed nature of Web applications today, the archetypes can be described by the location and relationship between the parts doing computation and the resources those computations have needed. This talk will try to describe these archetypes and prognosticate about what the future might bring.
