Continuous Integration

Tuesday March 11th 2003 at 7:00pm
College of DuPage, SRC 1450b
Abstract
As software projects grow in complexity, so does the time it takes to
resolve code integration issues, and locating bugs before they become
showstoppers to your project. Continuous Integration - the act of
building often; is often overlooked in the rush to develop software
quickly. It can also be the one idea that will save you from
Friday Night Fever: Code Integration.
In the presentation we will cover:
What is Continuous Integration?
Why Use Continuous Integration? What's in it for me?
What defines a sucessful build?
Continuous Integration and Testing
The evening will be capped with a demo of a very famous Open Source CI
tool: CruiseControl from Martin Fowler and the gang at ThoughtWorks.
During the demo, we will create our very own CI "process".
