As the trend to migrate internal networks to the Internet continues, IP address space gets harder to obtain. We must look at ways to save IP address space and still get the needed Internet functionality of every node on our network in a secure fashion. Corporations don't want to re-address machines on their network just to access the Internet.
Several cases will be presented. Business to business solutions as well as high speed cable modem and ADSL home Internet solutions.
Currently president of XNet, a Lisle based Internet Service Provider serving Chicagoland and Milwaukee businesses. Brian handles all of XNet's ATM core routing and wide area networking policies and infrastructure. He is a active member of the Networld+Interop trade show NOC team and an active participant in the Uniform Chicago Clout DNS project.
