Tuesday, August 26th 2003, 7:00-9:00pm
Building OCC, Room 128 C & D
Abstract
Test driven development is a key practice of Extreme Programming,
Scrum and other Agile development techniques. Tests are divided into
unit tests and acceptance tests. Unit tests provide feedback to the
programmer telling the programmer that the code does what is expected.
Acceptance test provide feedback to the programmer and the customer
showing that the code provides the agreed upon features. Fitnesse is
an open source acceptance testing tool built on top of Ward
Cunningham's framework for integration test (FIT).
James' talk will provide and overview and demo of test driven
development, acceptance testing and Fitnesse.
